Georgetown cafe simmering cafes switch things up with a new menu, fresh look
Georgetown’s Simmer Down Cafe offers an exciting new experience for customers to try.
The famous local breakfast spot will have a renovated dining room and a new menu after being renovated in October, said owner Chris Marino.
The family business originally opened in spring 2017, and Marino said his nephew, son and brother are all working with him to run the restaurant.

New McDonalds will be coming to Georgetown soon
McDonald’s is scheduled to open this spring in Georgetown, near the town of Ulfranch.
The store is still under inspection, but authorities are targeting the May 7 start date, a franchise spokesman said in an email. Opening dates are subject to change.

Desi Brothers Farmers Market has opened in Round Rock
Digi Brothers Farmers Market, a grocery store in India and the Middle East, opened in the Round Rock Crossing Retail Centre in April.
The store is close to 49,000 square feet, slightly larger than the Best Buy next door, and features traditional Indian groceries. The store offers unique brands such as Nirav, Amul, Haldiram and Swagat.

San Marcos asks Guadalupe County to deal with the health hazards of Rancho Vista’s Redwood
On April 1, San Marcos City Council approved a resolution calling on Guadalupe County to address potential health and safety issues in the Redwood and Rancho Vista communities, following reports of an increase in intestinal parasites among residents.
The resolution encourages counties to seek state and federal support. This includes funding from the Texas Water Development Board’s economically struggling regional programs.

NB Evil Bah Pizza Closes New Braunfels
NB’s evil bah pizza, Ste. According to a Facebook post, 123, New Braunfels.
“This isn’t ‘goodbye’, it’s ‘See you later,'” Post said.
According to a previous report by Community Impact, the fast casual pizza restaurant opened in November 2022.

Chipotle spokesperson Annie Gradinger said the Schörtz location is scheduled to open this winter. Chipotle sells Mexican-inspired foods, including customizable burritos, bowls, salads and tacos.
