• Carlton, National Freshman of the Week: Texas freshman Justise Carlton was named the USBWA’s National Freshman of the Week on Dec. 3 as well as the SEC’s Freshman of the Week. Carleton averaged 15.3 points and 5.0 rebounds in three games on the Gulf Coast. Showcase. Carlton scored 30 points on 12-of-15 shooting in the win over Butler.
