On Saturday, over 100,000 fans packed into Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium to watch the No. 1 ranked team take on Louisiana-Monroe in their final non-conference game of the 2024 season before playing in the SEC. Arch Manning also made his first career start, which was a big moment for the team.
Many enjoyed the win while downing a few drinks to cool down. A young child also joined in, drinking his mother’s Michelob Ultra. A video posted to X shows the child taking multiple large sips of beer.

The mother is described as being “totally unaware” of what was happening at the time, as the child looks to his right and sees another child taking large sips from the water bottle, presumably imitating his older brother who is drinking a completely different drink.

No update has been provided on this information at this time, but according to a tweet from Ruggs, his mother was notified at one point, but by the time anyone said anything, Michelob Ultra was gone forever.
Steve Sarkisian praised Texas QB Arch Manning for his handling of the interception
Arch Manning made his first collegiate start this weekend, replacing an injured Quinn Ewers, and led Texas to a 51-3 win over Louisiana-Monroe University, overcoming some adversity along the way.
The former five-star prospect threw his first career interception on the first drive of Saturday’s game and then had a second one just before halftime on a pass that bounced off the hands of the player who was supposed to catch it, but his head coach, Steve Sarkisian, was impressed with the tenacity the redshirt freshman showed when he took center stage.
“One of the things he did really well on Saturday … a year ago, after that interception, it might have taken him a minute or so to recover. I thought he handled it really well mentally,” Sarkisian said in a news conference. “I thought his poise and composure on Saturday was really good. To get that interception at the end of the first half and then come back in the second half and play the way he did in the third quarter, that was impressive to me from a maturity standpoint of how much he’s grown.”
