AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Baseball will host Louisiana State University, University of Georgia, Auburn University, Texas A&M University and the University of Florida as part of the program’s inaugural season in the Southeastern Conference, the league office announced Friday.
The first weekend of SEC series will be March 14-16, when the Longhorns travel to Mississippi State, with the regular season concluding May 15-17. The television schedule is subject to change and some conference series may move their start dates to Thursday.
The SEC Tournament is scheduled to be held May 20-25 at the Hoover Met.
As previously announced, SEC teams will play three-game series against two regular opponents and eight rotational opponents for a total of 30 conference games. Standings will be recorded in a single-division format.
A record 11 SEC teams have qualified for the 2024 NCAA Tournament, four of which will play in the College World Series, and Tennessee has won five consecutive SEC national titles with five different programs.
