Austin – Texas A&M baseball fought through the second pitcher duel for the second straight pitcher, but they were unable to win, dropping the game and series 3-2 on Saturday.

A&M competed on the weekend. He averaged over 11 and ran the game in his last 11 games, but only two runs have been called up since coming to Austin to play against Texas.

The Aggies took an early lead at the first top, but that was all the offense they got as the Longhorns got one in the third, six and seven innings to secure a victory.

Despite a lack of offensive production, A&M starter Justin Lamkin gave the Aggies another quality outing, bringing five innings of two-run baseball. He finished the day with eight strikeouts and allowed four hits on 96 pitches.

Longhorns starting pitcher Luke Harrison was probably even more clever, coming in six innings and giving up one run. Harrison allowed four hits on 84 pitches, six strikeouts and one walk.
