Texas Tech returns home this weekend looking to bounce back after a humiliating 37-16 loss to Washington State in Week 2. Saturday’s game sees a Group of 5 opponent come to town in North Texas, but it won’t be easy for the Red Raiders to pick up their second win of the season.
Thus far, the Mean Green have faced two weak teams in South Alabama and Stephen F. Austin, both of which they won by at least 15 points.
UNT is a scary opponent for the Red Raiders because of the way they attack: Currently, the Eagles are averaging 384.0 passing yards per game and are ranked third nationally in passing attack.
Meanwhile, head coach Eric Morris (Texas Tech alum) is seeing his team struggle defensively in the same way that Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire has this year. Texas Tech is ranked 111th nationally in total defense, allowing 415 yards per game, so there could be plenty of points in Lubbock this weekend.
So let’s take a look at everything fans need to know about the game on Saturday morning, starting with the broadcast team and where you can watch the game on TV.
