Texas Border Project

Far, Texas – Officers of the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Field Operations of Field Operations (OFO) have found officers at the PHARR International Bridge freight facility examining plastic roll cargo. $6.2 million in cocaine.
“As a massive cocaine attack like this, it not only highlights the severity of the drug threat that our frontline CBP officers face every day, but also applies testing experience and technology to zero to remove this load and prevents them from reaching the streets of the US.
On Wednesday, March 5th, CBP officers assigned to the Pharr International Bridge Cargo facility were encountered by a commercial tractor trailer carrying plastic wrap-making shipments from Mexico. CBP officers selected tractor trailers for inspection, including using non-intrusive testing (NII) equipment and screening by A (dog team). Physical inspection of the vehicle led officers to extract a total of 150 packages of cocaine weighing 470.68 pounds (213.5 kg) hidden within the product. The estimated street value of cocaine is $6,284,586.

CBP Ofo has arrested the driver and handed over the tractor trailer, drugs and driver to a Texas Public Safety Officer who launched a criminal investigation.
