Waco, Texas – Many school districts in central Texas have received grants to fund technology projects, from 3D printers to drones, and from 3D printers to drones.
The Educational Services Centre (ESC) Region 12 Technology Foundation announced that it surprised 10 educators with Grant Money in March this year, with the aim of supporting educational technology projects.
The grant reportedly totals $83,400 and is expected to affect 5,582 students across 10 school districts.

Belton ISD reportedly received $14,052 to purchase an autonomous drone kit for drone blocks, and it has essential coding, STEM and digital literacy skills for elementary school students.
China Spring ISD primary school received $1,838.10 and purchased a Glowforge Aura 3D printer.
Cranfills Gap ISD will receive $6,867.32 to purchase cameras and video equipment for fifth grade students, bolstering its weekly news show covering local and national news.
Iredell ISD received $7,110 to purchase cameras and video equipment for students to create weekly newscasts that enhance their Elar curriculum and promote media skills.
Lorena ISD’s primary school received $15,000 to purchase a Qtrobot to integrate robotics into the classroom and provide students with hands-on learning and collaboration opportunities.
Mart ISD receives $7,289.10 to purchase Newyes Scan Reader Pens, providing students with accessible tools to improve their reading independence and confidence.
Mildred ISD received $8,830 to purchase video equipment and provided students with valuable multimedia skills through hands-on training in video shooting and video editing.
Morgan ISD received $15,000 to purchase drones to enhance STEM education by providing hands-on robotics and coding experiences for middle and high school students.
Waco High School from Waco ISD received $7,500 to purchase professional photography equipment, helping students gain hands-on experience to boost technical skills and creative confidence.
West ISD’s primary school was awarded the 2025 Technology Foundation Special Grant Award. Campus received two EyeClick interactive projectors (1 Beam Pro and 1 OBIE) to provide an immersive, hands-on learning experience for all students.
With these grants, the ESC Region 12 Technology Foundation said it awards $778,205 to regional 12 schools and serves 38,285 students in central Texas.
