SAN ANTONIO – The Texas Department of Public Safety appointed Joseph Joshua Harris on Tuesday to the state’s most nominated fugitive list.
According to DPS, Harris, 18, from Converse, has been sought by Bexar County since February 24, 2025 for charges of “capital murder due to terrorist threats” and “misuse of a car”;
“Joseph Harris” was named in an affidavit obtained last month by KSAT in connection with February 23, 2025, and produced a fatal shooting near the 16,000 block of the Lettama Crown.
Harris told detectives at the Selma Police Station that he was about to buy marijuana, but the affidavit said he was selling firearms instead.
The affidavit identifies the 17-year-old group, Robert Monreal, Dorian Camarillo and Eric Cepedata. However, according to the affidavit, Harris and three other 17-year-olds traded dozens of rounds of firefights. Hayden Lee Holt, 20, was shot and killed in a 17-year-old car, apparently unarmed.
A few days later, Holt’s parents told KSAT that their son was “not a violent person.”
The affidavit says Monreal, Camarillo, Cepedata and Harris were all charged with capital murder. Selma police told KSAT on February 25 that Harris was the only suspect charged in connection with the murder of Holt, who is still on the run.
Selma Police confirmed with KSAT Tuesday afternoon that “Joseph Harris,” named in the Selma Police affidavit, is Harris, the same one of the state’s most nominated fugitives.
DPS said Harris is 5 feet tall and 11 inches tall. To be eligible for cash compensation, the agency said the tips must provide information in one of three ways.

The addition of Harris to the list comes less than a week after another San Antonio area suspect on the most wanted fugitive list was filmed.
Joseph Oliverli was arrested on March 6 after amputating an ankle monitor in connection with a February 2025 brawl and another arrest resulting from a shooting in downtown San Antonio.
