Activists seek to raise awareness about climate displacement

As the world’s attention focuses on Azerbaijan in the lead-up to the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29), Austin-based Texas Impact/Texas Interface Power & Light is streaming video from the conference to the Chronicle.
While world leaders understand the meaning of ‘crisis’, people around the world who are vulnerable to climate change are being forced to flee. Texas climate change leaders Ilka Vega and Bobby Watson say it’s too late to think about what-ifs, and it’s long past time to establish frameworks and systems for climate action. He explains.
