Texas’ most wanted sex offender Raymond Trejo is this month’s featured fugitive. The reward for information leading to his arrest will increase to $3,000 in December if a tip is received this month.
Raymond Lee Trejo, 35, of Abilene, is wanted by Taylor starting in May 2024 for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements. In 2009, Trejo was convicted of child sexual assault after an incident with a 14-year-old girl. He was then sentenced to 10 years in prison at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) prison.
Trejo is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds. He has tattoos on his face, neck, chest, and both arms. He has scars on his head and right knee. More information about Trejo and updates on his arrest can be found here.
Texas Crime Stoppers, funded by the Governor’s Office of Public Safety, offers a reward to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest of one of Texas’ 10 most wanted fugitives, a sex offender, and a criminal illegal immigrant. We provide. So far in 2024, DPS and other agencies have arrested 44 Texas most wanted fugitives, sex offenders, and criminal illegal immigrants, including 16 sex offenders and gang members. There are 10 members, and 4 criminal illegal immigrants.
To be eligible for a cash reward, tipsters must provide information to authorities using one of three methods:
Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477). To submit a web tip through the DPS website, select the fugitive you have information about and click the link below their photo. To submit a Facebook tip, click the (Submit a tip) link (under the (About) section).
All tips are anonymous, regardless of how they are submitted, and tipsters are provided with a tip number rather than a name.
DPS agents work with local law enforcement agencies to select fugitives for Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Fugitives, Sex Offenders, and Criminal Illegal Immigrants lists. The current list with photos is available on the DPS website.
