AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) congratulates Officer Kyle Bradley (Capitol) on receiving the prestigious “Be the One” award at this year’s North American Human Trafficking Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. The conference was held over three days in October. From the 23rd to the 25th, law enforcement, advocates, community leaders, and experts in the field of human trafficking came together. Sponsored by the Human Trafficking Training Center and Law Enforcement Training Academy & Consulting (LETAC).
Established in memory of survivor and anti-trafficking leader Meghan Connors, the Be the One award recognizes the impact of one police officer’s dedication and dedication in the fight against human trafficking. It recognizes law enforcement officers who exemplify this.
Last year, Officer Bradley participated in a comprehensive training program at the Missouri Human Trafficking Training Center, where he gained essential skills in identifying victims and perpetrators of human trafficking. By applying these skills to our regular patrols, we identified more than 20 victims and arrested numerous traffickers in the last year alone. Officer Bradley’s exemplary work includes providing critical assistance to vulnerable populations and exemplifies the spirit of compassionate law enforcement. His recognition at the North American Human Trafficking Conference confirms his valuable contributions in the fight against human trafficking and the protection of vulnerable populations.
In addition to his work, Officer Bradley serves as a mentor and leader for his colleagues, encouraging his fellow officers to pursue specialized training in human trafficking. This expanded expertise will enable officials to identify human trafficking, conduct high-quality investigations, and hold more traffickers accountable.
