The East Texas Ministry of New Creation Foundation is asking local residents to contribute in any way they can, whether that be through direct donations, organizing fundraising events or spreading the word about this urgent need.
“We are at a critical crossroads,” said Gregory Fleck, executive director of the New Creation Foundation. “Our mission to restore whole human beings to vibrant, thinking, feeling, fully functioning human beings with gifts, talents and qualities to be used for God’s divine purpose is under serious threat. We urgently need the support of community residents, local businesses and philanthropic organizations to prevent this facility from closing.”
This ministry is a key player in support and service in our community, but a severe funding shortfall means its vital work faces immediate threat.
Gideon House Men’s Campus, located at 1204 W. Noble St. in Troup, is at risk of closing unless emergency financial assistance is secured within the next 30 days.
To address this urgent need, New Creation Foundation is launching a fundraising campaign with a goal of raising $150,000 within the next 30 days. Donations will directly support and ensure this ministry can continue to provide critical services without interruption.
All donations are tax deductible and will make a real difference in the lives of those who rely on this ministry’s support.
“Please help us restore hope,” the press release reads.
Founded in 2010, this East Texas Community Ministry of New Creation Foundation is committed to providing critical services to people with drug, alcohol and other life-controlling issues by offering residential recovery services, family and individual counseling, and a faith-based curriculum that teaches people how to become new creations in Jesus Christ.
Last year, the ministry served more than 70 people in the East Texas area, providing a lifeline to many who rely on the ministry’s programs for survival and hope.
“Despite the department’s strong commitment to the local community, rising operating costs and declining funding have placed the department in a financially challenging position. Without immediate action, the closure of the facility would mean the loss of a vital service for many of the already vulnerable people currently living in the facility.”
