The award recognizes leaders who expand their health and welfare provision
Arlington, Texas (April 22, 2025) – Texas Health Resources receives the Business Group, one of 53 recipients nationwide and the highest employer award for health. This honor recognizes its remarkable commitment to promoting employee well-being through comprehensive and innovative benefits and initiatives.
This is the 16th consecutive year that the system has received this recognition.
“Texas Health is where you can do the best job of your life,” said Carla Dawson, Chief Human Resources Officer of Health Systems. “We care about the overall health and well-being of our care team members and continue to evaluate our programs to provide benefits and resources that enhance our mind, body and mind.”
The current 20th year award was presented at the Business Group Nashville at Health’s 2025 annual conference.
The recipients were evaluated for their approach to leadership, culture and well-being strategies. Overall well-being including mental health, financial well-being, social connections, job satisfaction, flexibility, and time. Engagement and employee experience. Healthcare and accessibility to health. and metrics and ratings.
Healthy Texas employees have access to a variety of programs that help them achieve a balanced life. Texas Health offers employees a variety of medical planning options to meet their healthcare needs. Through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), employees can obtain counseling, legal support and financial resources.
Employees registered with Medical Coverage can participate in the Be Healthy Wellness program through anthropomorphic health, which includes resources to reduce stress, improve sleep and promote physical fitness. Resources such as self-care check-in virtual discussions and headspace guided meditation programs connect employees with skills and skills to deal with stress and anxiety.
Employees can also enroll in the generous 401(k) program at company matches and take parental leave and paid hours for both personal use and community volunteering. Texas Health supports leadership development and continuing education. The organization also offers tuition and handling fee refunds for approved degree plans.
“We are constantly working to create a culture of community and connect our employees with opportunities and career development opportunities across the system,” Dawson said.
