Vic Schaefer, head coach of the Texas Athletics and Texas Longhorns women’s basketball, announced today that Arizona forward Brayacunningham will be joining the program via the NCAA transfer portal. Cunningham will join Texas and remain eligible for two seasons.

From Texas Athletics: “Cunningham was a 6-4 advance from Chula Vista, California and was the honorable mention choice for the PAC-12 All-Freshman in 2023-24. Cunningham won gold medals at the 2022 FIBA U17 Women’s World Cup and the 2021 FIBA Women’s U16 Americas Championship.
“We are very excited to announce the addition of Breia Cunningham and her family to our Longhorn family,” Schafer said in a news release. “I recruited her two years ago when I graduated from high school and was ranked second in the country in the 2023 class. Breia brings experience and internal presence, and the ability to quickly influence our program.
