Fox Sports chief analyst Joel Klatt rates the Texas Longhorns very highly. Additionally, Klatt believes Texas has the best uniforms in college football and believes the Horns are poised to become a dynasty.
The former Colorado QB also believes UT has a good chance of winning the national title this year. “Texas is a team that deserves a national championship,” Klatt told The Hardliner on KTCK The Ticket in Dallas.
But Klatt said what impressed him most was the way the Longhorns set themselves up for a strong future.
“I think the future for the next few years is going to be Texas’. Right now, I’m not entirely sure if they’re going to win a national championship. But it’s clear that Texas is a superpower.” — Joel Klatt
Klatt believes Texas could produce a dynasty in the coming years. The main reason for that is that Texas has overcome several hurdles to get to its current position.
“There’s always a hurdle somewhere along the way. And when you clear that hurdle, there comes a time when the team that fell the dynasty has the upper hand. For me, I think last year was that hurdle for Texas. They earned So I looked at it and they lost to a team that probably should have beaten Washington. – It’s a drought that’s affecting the entire year. ”This feels like a team trained for this type of run. ” — Joel Klatt
Klatt cited several examples of dynasty teams that had to overcome tough obstacles to maintain their dominance for years.
“It’s rare in any sport that a team suddenly shows up, wins on the first try, and then dominates. Even Alabama with Nick Saban had to get through Tim Tebow and Florida. The Bulls… We had to get through the Pistons, we had to get through the Pistons.” We got past the Celtics in the NBA. ” — Joel Klatt
Texas’ next hurdle is a rematch with Georgia in the SEC Championship Game on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
