AUSTIN — First Lady Cecilia Abbott today announced that more than 5,300 wish lists for Texas children in foster care will be fulfilled through donations from state agency employees during this year’s Holiday Wish Program. In response, we celebrated the generosity of Texans serving Texans. Sponsored by the Governor’s Commission on Women and the Council of State Agencies and coordinated through the nonprofit Partnership for Children, the annual Holiday Wishes program targets foster care facilities in 31 counties in south central and south central Texas. Partnership for Children was founded in 2003 in Central Texas. Its mission is to make tomorrow better than today by supporting and empowering the children, youth, and families involved in child protective services in Texas.
