Austin – Gov. Governor Greg Abbott has signed the law at the Texas Capitol in Austin on Senate Bill 14, also known as Texas Dozi. Passed during the 89th regular legislative meeting, the law will ensure that the Texas government is more efficient and out of the way in the daily lives of Texans.
“We will be more responsive and efficient by putting Texas government formation, formation and reorganisation at the forefront of the law,” Gov. Abbott said. “Texas has its own Doge, known as the Texas Regulatory Efficiency Office. This law sets strict standards with new regulations that could reduce regulations and cost corporate growth, making governments more efficient and expensive, ensuring that Texas has achieved business. This is the law now.”
The governor has joined the bill signed by Li, Sen. Dustin Burrows, Sen. Phil King, Representative of Giovanni Capriglione, Independent Texas State Superintendent Jeff Burdett, and other members of the Texas Legislature and Business Leader.
“The Texas Doge ensures that Texas miracles will last forever into the 21st century,” said Governor Patrick Nakaoly. “The Texans understand that cutting red tape will keep more money in taxpayers’ pockets. Our conservative regulatory approach will help Texans thrive and our state is the perfect place to do business in America and around the world.”
“The main theme of this session is government efficiency, and today the state offers its promise to reduce deficits and empower Texans with greater government surveillance,” Speaker Burrows said. “As the first legislation Governor Abbott signed the law into this session, the Regulatory Reform and Efficiency Act brings states in the 21st century in terms of government rulemaking and strengthens economic opportunities.
“Senate Bill 14 was created with hardworking Texans in mind,” Senator King said. “Many of our state’s rules and regulations are outdated and unnecessary burdensome, creating barriers to continued economic growth. This legislation will dramatically improve our regulatory system and build a stronger Texas in the long run.”
“An era of wasted spending and government bloating has been officially doge. Signing Senate Bill 14 has made it more efficient for government and saving millions of taxpayers.” “I am grateful to Senator Phil King for working with me in this effort and thanking Governor Abbott for his support in his leadership.
“Governor Abbott’s signature on Senate Bill 14 represents a historic step for Texas small and medium-sized businesses. It builds on the recommendations of the SMEs’ Freedom Council to reduce regulations, taxes and workforce barriers,” Burdett said. “The law sets the stage for what could be the most influential session for small businesses in Texas history.”
“As co-chair of the Governor’s Small Business Freedom Council, I commend Senate Bill 14 for establishing the Texas Office of Regulatory Efficiency,” said Glenn Hammer, Texas Business President and CEO. “This new office will provide core recommendations from the Freedom Council report. It eliminates duplication regulations, modernizes obsolete processes, and reduces the burden that hinders small and medium-sized businesses’ growth. Texas dog efforts are a country model. Texas is already the best condition for business. Business, and we are enthusiastically supporting his vision.
Senate Bill 14 (King/Capriglione) creates the Texas Department of Regulation and Efficiency to identify and eliminate unnecessary regulations from state agencies, and create best practices for state agencies to follow to reduce Texan regulated stocks.
