One hundred Houston-area companies, including some of the top-ranked companies in Texas, have been named to the 2024 Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States.
The 2024 Inc. 5000 ranks companies based on their revenue growth from 2020-2023.
Topping the list among Houston-area companies was Segment HR, based in The Woodlands, with revenue growing 7,353 percent. This growth rate earned Segment HR a No. 32 ranking on the national list and No. 1 in Texas.
Founded in 2018 by former federal HR specialist Robin Scott, Segment HR specializes in providing HR support to federal agencies. The company employs remote HR specialists in 23 states and the District of Columbia.

La Vernia-based Begesh topped the San Antonio area with a growth rate of 1,111 percent and earned No. 396 on the national list.
