Houston boasts an impressive presence on annual lists of fastest-growing companies

One hundred Houston-area companies, including some of the top-ranked companies in Texas, have been named to the 2024 Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States.

The 2024 Inc. 5000 ranks companies based on their revenue growth from 2020-2023.

Topping the list among Houston-area companies was Segment HR, based in The Woodlands, with revenue growing 7,353 percent. This growth rate earned Segment HR a No. 32 ranking on the national list and No. 1 in Texas.

Founded in 2018 by former federal HR specialist Robin Scott, Segment HR specializes in providing HR support to federal agencies. The company employs remote HR specialists in 23 states and the District of Columbia.

Below is a list of the top 25 Houston-area companies on the 2024 Inc. 5000. Also included are each company’s headquarters location, growth rate and national ranking.

“One of the greatest joys of my job is poring over the Inc. 5000 list,” says Mike Hoffman, editor-in-chief of Inc. magazine. “Seeing all the interesting and surprising ways companies are transforming different sectors, from healthcare and AI to apparel and pet food, is incredibly fascinating to me as a journalist and storyteller.”

Other areas in Texas:

Austin-based Maev topped the Austin area with a growth rate of 6,734 percent and earned No. 38 on the national list. Dallas-based Archer Review topped the Dallas area with a growth rate of 5,771 percent and earned No. 46 on the national list. La Vernia-based Begesh topped the San Antonio area with a growth rate of 1,111 percent and earned No. 396 on the national list.
