Community involvement has always been a priority at the Oaks bed and breakfast. We love it when other companies work with local high schools to help them learn more about areas of learning that may be related to a particular business. We know many of our local businesses that are partners with high schools as part of our Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. T-shirt contests will be available to purchase at your own store later.
Charity, owner of Millhollin, said, “Students have an exciting opportunity to showcase their creativity by participating in a T-shirt design contest hosted by Millhollin. This competition challenges students to create unique spring-themed designs that capture the essence of the season, tailoring to Millhollin’s style and brand. The competition not only allows students to apply their design skills in a real-world setting, but also gives them the opportunity to showcase their work in local businesses. By participating, students have valuable experience in design, marketing and collaboration, while Millhollin promotes community engagement and supports young artists. The designs will be submitted anonymously and voted in store and on social media. The designs will be published at the beginning of March.”
When students present their designs to Millhollin You, the community has the opportunity to vote for your favorites. Not only will your vote be important, but there will also be an opportunity to help support these young people if their victory design is chosen. All designs are set anonymously to ensure favor. Once the vote is completed, the winner will be produced on T-shirts sold at Millholin. Watch social media, stop by the shops, vote and see omissions in the products these young designers can see and see.
The class teacher, Brandy Fisher, speaks about her incredibly talented student. “The class not only focuses on the technical aspects of graphic design, but also emphasizes creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving. They understand how design affects marketing, advertising and business strategy. We are doing projects for multiple school organizations. ”
There are five classes that compete in this competition, which make up various ages from 9th to 12th grade. It’s amazing to see what these students have created for this project and see which designs win that day.
