More than 150 teachers have been surveyed across the state, with more than half of them in northern Texas.
Dallas – More than 150 educators in Texas are being investigated by the Texas Educational Institution (TEA) because they can be accredited through fraudulent means.
The tea began an investigation in December 2024 after Harris County District Attorney Kim Og announced a large-scale Houston-based criminal misconduct scheme at the beginning of the year. Many North Texas school districts have been affected by Tee Probe, including Dallas ISD, Fort Worth ISD, Arlington ISD, Irving ISD, Richardson ISD, Mansfield ISD and Duncanville ISD.
More than half of the surveyed statewide are located in northern Texas. The WFAA maintains a list of the number of teachers in this study in North Texas.
*Important note: The district associated with this educator does not mean it is the current location of employment. Based on the latest information, it was their place of employment at the end of either the 22-23 academic year or the 23-24 academic year.
