Austin – Governor Greg Abbott has reappointed Alex Mead, “Lobby” Vaughan to Texas C. Vaughan for conditions expired on February 1, 2031. It adopts rules for TXDOT operations.
Alejandro G. “Alex” Meade, III of Mission, is Executive Vice President of Texas Regional Bank. Previously, he was Mayor of Farr, but before that he was CEO of Mission Economic Development Corporation. He is a former member of the Texas Technical College System Regent Committee and a former member of the Texas Economic Development Corporation board of directors. He is accredited by the National Council of Development as an Economic Development Finance expert and an accredited public manager by graduates of the National Accredited Public Managers Consortium and Texas Lyceum. Mead received a bachelor’s degree in economics from St. Edward University, a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas (UT) in Brownsville, and a master’s degree in government from UT Pan American.
Robert C. “Robby” Vaughn of Dallas is the owner of Vaughn Capital Partners, LLC and is a special purpose entity for numerous energy and real estate investments. He is a former chairman of the TexNet Technical Advisory Committee and is a member of the UT Systems Prime Ministers’ Council Committee, the UT MacDonald Observatory and the Astronomy Committee. Additionally, Vaughn is a life member of the UT Austin Development Committee and the Longhorn Foundation Advisory Committee. He also participates on the boards of Dorchester Minerals, LP (NASDAQ: DMLP) Managers Committee, Culver Education Foundation Board of Trustees and Perott Natural Science Committee. Vaughn holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Austin.


These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Senate.
