Dallas – As North Texas ushered in 2025 with fireworks and midnight toasts, hospitals across the region proudly welcomed their first babies of the year.
Here are some of the New Year’s babies born at Dallas-Fort Worth area hospitals.
Michael Tripp Albaugh was the first baby born at 1:42 a.m. at Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center in Fort Worth.
Baby Michael Tripp-Albaugh and his mother, Kimberly, are doing well and are both healthy.
Parents Kimberly and Michael said their first son was born ahead of his due date on January 14th.
The new family is looking forward to the new year, believing it will be filled with learning and new experiences.

“There is no better way to start the new year bringing home a whole new life. This year you will not only start the year fresh, but you will be a fresh boy learning whole new things. Let’s talk about New Year’s resolutions ” We don’t need that. Everything is new to us so we just have to figure it out,” said mom Kimberly Gonzalez.
Baby Michael has his father’s name, but he is not Junior. The family said they inherited the tradition of not giving names and having unique middle names with a common letter T initial.
Amy Blinn weighed 5 pounds, 5 ounces and her brother Christoper Bennett weighed 7 pounds.
Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth welcomed a pair of twins in the early morning hours of January 1, 2025. Baby girl Amy Brin and her brother Christopher Bennett were born at 1:29 a.m. to parents Amy Christian and Mason Skillan.
Christine Alcala weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces.
Parents Cristian and Cassandra Alcala gave birth to a baby boy, named Cristian Alcala, at 1:58 a.m. at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth.
Oliver Kennedy’s baby weighed 5 pounds, 4 ounces.
The baby boy, named Oliver, was the first born to parents Erin and Jeremy Kennedy at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance in North Fort Worth.
Baby Winnie Abadia weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces.
Parents Katrina and Brian Abadia gave birth to a baby girl, Winnie, at 7:46 a.m. at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano.
Alberto Hazael Adame’s baby weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces.
Baby Alberto Azael Adam was the first to arrive at Methodist Dallas Medical Center just after 2 a.m. His parents, Yamirez Oviedo and Josue Adam, are from Wills Point, 80 miles east of Dallas.
Alaya Keilani Robinson’s baby weighed 7 pounds 2.3 ounces.
And first-time parents Haley Guerra and Lavon Robinson, both of Midlothian, gave birth to a baby girl, Alaya Keilani Robinson, at 2:46 a.m. at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center.
