O’Keefe Top-10 finish at Anwa: Sophomore Farah O’Keefe finished 10th in the Augusta National Women’s Amateur. It was her seventh top-10 finish of the season. Playing the final day on the Augusta National Course, O’Keefe had a 3-under 69 card.
Conference Champion: Texas has won the 2024 Big 12 Championship in a 12-stroke victory at the Houston Oaks club, finishing in eighth and fifth overall in the last seven seasons. Farrar O’Keefe and Lauren Kim came in third on the individual leaderboards.
Betsy Rawls Win: Texas won the Betsy Rawls Invitational at the University of Texas Golf Club with an 18-shot victory. Lauren Kim has earned medalist honors. Kim was the only player on the field to film on par in the final round. Kim won the SEC Women’s Golfer of the Week honor after her victory. Texas finished five golfers in the top 10 of the tournament.
O’Keefe was selected for the first spring Annika Award Watch List: O’Keefe recorded three top three finishes in the fall event this season, starting the spring with a T4 finish in the first tournament. At the Mason Rudolph Championship, O’Keefe shot three rounds in the ’60s and finished T3 at 11 under to help the Longhorns win the tournament championship. O’Keefe followed with a T3 at Stanford University and a T2 at Nanea’s invitation. In the final round of the Stanford Invitational, O’Keefe carded a 64-under 64 to tie the Longhorn Record in the lowest round of 18 holes. O’Keefe has been the SEC female golfer of the week following her performance at Stanford University.
Back in Action: The Longhorns opened their spring schedule with a third place finish at the Therese Headlines Regional Challenge at Palos Verdes Estate, California. Farrar O’Keefe led the Texas, earning a T4 finish with a two-under par. Her 3-under 68 in the second round was the sixth round of the ’60s this season. Tiffany Kao recorded the best college finish at T8 in the tournament.
Stanford Intercollegia: The Longhorns finished third in Stanford Intercollegia. In the final round of the tournament, the Longhorns tied their program records together with a minimum of 18 holes score. It’s 272 under 272. Farah O’Keefe finished T3 on individual leaderboards. O’Keefe had a 7-under 64 card in the final round. This led to program records with a minimum of 18 holes scores for each individual.
NB3 Match Play Champion: Texas won their second straight event by winning the Women’s NB3 Match Play Championship at Twin Warriors Golf Club in Santa Anapueblo, New Mexico. All five players won two matches. Texas beat New Mexico 4.5-0.5 and New Mexico 5-0. The Cardinal won 3-2 against No. 1 Stanford. The Longhorns also collaborated with the Texas men’s golf team to match the University Championship. Lauren Kim posted a 2-0-1 record with 15 birdies and two eagles in three games.
Winning in Tennessee: Texas women’s golf team won the tournament at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, Tennessee. The Longhorns scored their third best 54 holes in a six-shot victory in program history. Sophomores Farrar O’Keefe and Lauren Kim finished T3 with individual leaderboards of 11 under each. That 11-under 205 is tied to the fourth-highest 54-hole individual round in the program’s history. On the final day, Kim bursieed the final three holes to shoot a 6-under 66, tied it to the seventh best individual 18-hole round in program history.
