Ann Leidheimer has been promoted to Chief Impact Officer at the North Texas Food Bank. In this role, she will help the food bank continue its fight against hunger and strengthen equitable food access and sustainable food security solutions.
“Ann Riedheimer has been an invaluable asset to North Texas Food Bank since joining NTFB in 2019,” North Texas Food Bank President and CEO Trisha Cunningham said in a statement. “Her deep expertise and unwavering commitment have significantly advanced our mission to alleviate hunger in our region, and we are thrilled to have her in this new role. Her strategic vision and passion for effective solutions will continue to drive positive change for our organization, our feeding network and our neighbors.”
In his new role, Liedheimer will oversee several key areas, including NTFB programs such as the SNAP and social service outreach team, the Food 4 Kids Backpack Initiative, senior meal programs, nutrition and gardening education, and the community partnerships team, according to the food bank.
The nonprofit said Liedheimer’s leadership will be key to expanding its agency network and mobile distribution, increasing distribution through local partners in high-need areas and reaching more communities in need. Liedheimer will also lead the organization’s “Hope for Tomorrow” strategy, which focuses on expanding partnerships with local organizations that help solve underlying barriers to food security.
“Ann has consistently delivered incredible results, providing a tremendous amount of meals – nearly 300 million meals in the past three years alone,” Erica Yeager, chief external relations officer at the North Texas Food Bank, said in a statement. “Her innovative contributions, including our community-based approach, container pantries, produce pods, SNAP Mobile, Hunger Action Maps and network grant programs, have significantly strengthened our bank’s network and improved our capacity to address hunger. Ann combines empathy with strategic thinking, prioritizing neighbors and leveraging data-driven decision-making to optimize resources and impact.”
Prior to joining NTFB, Riedheimer served as senior director of fresh food innovation at 7-Eleven, where he led an integrated foodservice team focused on new product development and operational improvements. His previous roles also included supporting global food innovation and menu development for Yum Restaurants International, according to the food bank.
