“We are excited to expand our global footprint with the launch of our subsidiary in India,” founder and CEO Purna Mishra said in a statement. “Bhubaneswar’s thriving technology ecosystem, highly skilled talent and strategic location make it an ideal destination for innovation. This move not only improves its ability to deliver world-class solutions, but also creates meaningful career opportunities for professionals who want to shape the future of retail technology.”
Logile is the global leader in AI-powered, connected workforce solutions for the retail industry.
In 2022, Logile launched a gig-style scheduling system for retail workers.
This solution allows retailers to take advantage of their employees more fully in two important ways. “Gigstuttas Associates” are supplemented with company staff from “crowdsourcing” to cover additional staffing needs.
“I think there’s a real opportunity for retailers to change the game,” Mishra said in 2022.
The company said by establishing a presence in Bhubaneswar, Logile is ready to accelerate advances in its AI-driven workforce and operational efficiency solutions. Bhubaneswar is the capital and the largest city in Odisha, southeastern India.
The India-based team serves as a hub for research and development, software engineering, customer support and implementation services. This ensures that companies around the world continue to benefit from Logile’s industry-leading technology.
Logile said the AI-powered platform is changing the retail industry by revolutionizing store-level planning, scheduling and execution. And by enabling retailers to make smarter, data-driven operational decisions, the company’s solutions say by increasing efficiency, workforce involvement, customer satisfaction and providing measurable business impact.
Increased access to talent
Logile said it is actively recruiting top-tier experts to develop next-generation AI-driven software solutions and provide excellent customer support across six continents as part of its investment in Bhubaneswar.
The company said that even though India’s tier cities serve as a major hub for the large-employed giant, small software companies often face challenges in attracting and maintaining a stable workforce in these overloaded locations. Logile said the expansion coincides with its long-term vision of investing in robust infrastructure, the best educational institutions, with the convergence of the finest educational institutions, including IIT, NIT and IIM, as well as a vast technical talent pool.
According to Logile, Bhubaneswar’s strategic position as a top tier-II city offers seamless access to Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, West Bengal and top talents in eastern Uttar Pradesh.
The region produces almost 45% of India’s skilled alumni, making it a powerhouse of technical expertise, the company said.
