The Prairie View Center in West Temple offers swimming lessons, bagels, dog grooming and more.
Temple, Texas – A series of new businesses are creating waves at West Temple, bringing fresh energy and services to the community.
Located off the coast of West Adams Avenue, Prairie View Center is officially ready to open the doors and houses four unique facilities designed to serve local residents in a variety of ways.
Whether you need refreshing snacks, swimming lessons for kids or grooming services for four-legged friends, the new business hub aims to be a comprehensive destination for the West Temple family.
As summer approaches and temperatures rise, many families look forward to cooling them with water. Safe Splash Swim School is fully positioned to help children and adults develop important swimming skills.
The school features state-of-the-art indoor pools that are maintained at 90 degrees all year round, and are accessible regardless of weather conditions.
Safe Splash general manager Ashley Major said it offers a lot of options, although it has a capacity of 90%.
“So now we’re offering regular programming from Monday to Saturday to June to Saturday, and we’re also offering swim camp,” Major said. “It will continue for four days from Monday to Thursday.”
After an exhilarating swimming lesson, visitors can refuel William Whit bagels and brewing. Owner William Carlton has created a warm and charming space where community members can enjoy artisan bagels and special coffee drinks.
Sourcing as much local ingredients as possible, Carlton wants to leave customers with more than just delicious snacks. He aims to create a sense of belonging and community connection.
“We’re making people better than we found them, so they come in and they leave with a smile on their faces,” Carlton said. “They have great coffee, great New York style bagels. They may not have had their best days.
West Temple pet owners have premium options to keep their dog companions clean and comfortable. Wags Dog Grooming and Spa offers a comprehensive grooming service, from basic buses to full styling.
The SPA features separate areas for dogs of various sizes and offers special packages for patrons, including a loyalty program that offers discounts on regular bookings.
Devin Vandiver said he wanted local dog owners to have a great experience.
“We have six different groomer opportunities so we can accommodate six different employees, six skilled groomers,” says Vandiver. “We have front desk people who do scheduling, so we try to provide as much experience as possible in the dog grooming industry.”
The Prairie View Center lineup will be completed by Burst Bowl, which is scheduled to open in July. The facility specializes in bowls of frozen yogurt and acai, offering a healthier alternative to traditional desserts.
With a diverse range of products and a community-centric approach, Prairie View Center represents a major step forward in West Temple’s ongoing development, bringing new services, job opportunities and space in the neighborhood.
