Texas Border Project

Austin – We continue to work with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), Gov. Greg Abbott of the Texas State Guard, and the Trump administration to secure the border. Stop smuggling drugs, weapons and people in Texas. It also prevents, detects and prevents cross-border criminal activity between ports of entry.
Since the launch of Operation Lone Star, multi-agency efforts have led to more than 531,600 undocumented immigrant anxiety, more than 51,300 criminal arrests, and more than 43,800 felony charges. In the fight against the fentanyl crisis, Texas law enforcement has seized more than 626 million deadly doses of fentanyl, inadequate to kill all men, women and children in the United States, Mexico and Canada, along with the border mission.
Operation Lone Star continues to work to cancel the damage caused by the Biden administration. All individuals with drugs that were arrested or arrested and seized would otherwise have invaded Texas and the country’s communities due to open border policies.

Viewing: DPS deploys cutting-edge technology to stop human smuggling and ensure boundaries

Sunday, DPS Sgt. Guadalupe Cazares has taken an internal look at News Nation’s Jorge Ventura as how the department uses drone technology to monitor smuggling activities along the southern border.
“This guide literally reaches our soil and he walks up and down to check and checks to see if there is law enforcement in the area for a few minutes,” Sgt. said. Casares. “Then he’ll go back once it’s clear and start bringing in his people he’s about to cross. So it’s the whole operation from the (cartel) on their side.”
DPS drones are equipped with thermal sensors to monitor boundaries for illegal activities. DPS also uses motion alerts to identify where Operation Lone Star and federal partners need to deploy to place gaming cameras in strategic areas and catch smugglers.
