LAS VEGAS — TJ Bamba scored 18 points and Oregon scored the final 11 points to defeat No. 20 Texas A&M 80-70 on Tuesday at the Players Era Festival.
The Ducks (6-0) held Texas A&M (4-2) without a field goal in the final 4 1/2 minutes to erase a 70-69 deficit.
Brandon Angell and Jackson Shelstad each scored 16 points for Oregon State, and Yadrian Tracy added 11 points.
Juric Phelps led the Aggies with 20 points, and Wade Taylor IV finished with 15 points.
Texas A&M led 58-48, and Oregon scored nine points with 1:01 remaining, cutting the deficit to one with 8:10 remaining. The Ducks extended their spurt to 16 straight points, and the Aggies called for two timeouts, giving Oregon State a 64-58 lead.
After that, the game went back and forth, with the Ducks trailing by 11 points at the end of the game.
Texas A&M forward Solomon Washington averaged 4.8 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, but went down hard near the middle of the first half and did not return.
