SAN ANTONIO — A San Antonio woman with business ties to Boerne faces several years in prison after her arrest Tuesday on suspicion of obstructing or attempting to obstruct an ongoing federal fraud investigation.
The FBI and IRS Criminal Investigation are conducting a federal investigation into an investor fraud scheme in San Antonio and Lubbock, and Brooklyn Chandler Willey, 45, has responded to a hefty federal fine, according to court documents. The suit alleges that he obstructed and attempted to obstruct the investigation by submitting false documents. Jury summons.
Willey was the owner of a San Antonio-based company called Queen B. Advisors LLC, doing business as Texas Financial Advisory (TFA), and the owner of Chandler Capital Holdings, according to documents.
Texas Financial Advisory has offices in the 200 block of North Main Street in downtown Boerne.
According to the indictment, around May 2021, Willey encouraged a couple to invest $500,000 using Chandler Capital as a closing and delivery agent. The couple agreed and wrote a check to Chandler Capital for the agreed investment.
Rather than depositing checks for investment purposes, Willey made payments to the couple’s 50 million yen, including payments to personal credit cards, payments to other investors, and payments to another business that Willey owned and controlled, according to the indictment. He claims he used the $10,000 for personal purposes.
According to the indictment, in response to a federal grand jury subpoena, Willey created false loan agreements that his victims falsely signed.
Willey again submitted this document to federal officials during an interview on November 19, 2024, and made false statements about this document and other matters.
Willey is charged with one count of obstructing and attempting to obstruct an official proceeding, one count of making false statements, and one count of aggravated identity theft.
