PCCA was named 2025 Corporate Champion at the 41st Governor Volunteer Awards Ceremony
Houston, Texas, May 7, 2025 (Globe Newswire) – The Professional Complex of America (PCCA) is proud to be selected as the recipient of the 2025 Corporate Champion Awards. This honorary honor recognizes PCCA’s more than 30 years of partnership with Fort Bend Women’s Center (FBWC) and highlights the company’s unwavering commitment to volunteering and philanthropy in the Texas community.
The Corporate Champion Award is presented annually to a single Texas Corporation exemplifying active and continuous community service by embedding volunteer work as a core value in your business strategy. Recipients demonstrate a continuing commitment to meaningful, long-term community engagement and a collaborative solution to local needs.
PCCA’s multi-year partnership with Fort Bend Women’s Center exemplifies these ideals. Since 2016, PCCA and its team members have donated over $400,000, making them the most active volunteer group at the women’s center. Team members will consistently participate in PCCA Cares Day events, lead fundraising initiatives, organising school supply drives, holiday toy collections, and back to school support. Many PCCA team members also work on the FBWC board, and in every interaction, PCCA lives on the core values of “Care Deeply” and “Serve Always” to provide hope, support and lasting change for families in need.
This year, the FBWC nominated the PCCA for the Corporate Champion Award, acknowledging the company’s longstanding, deeply invested advocacy to support domestic and sexual assault survivors in Fort Bend County.
“We are grateful for the compassion, commitment and partnership of the PCCA,” said Leslie Wendland, FBWC’s Chief Foreign Officer. “Thank you for being the champion for change!”
On April 23, 2025, a group of PCCA representatives attended an awards ceremony and luncheon at the Texas Governor’s Mansion hosted by Governor Abbott and First Lady Cecilia Abbott to celebrate all award recipients of the statewide awards.
On behalf of the PCCA were David Sparks, Brian Sparks, Molly Sparks, Jim Smith, Lizzie Harbin, Cindy Hicks, Michael Jones and Whitney Andrews.
“For over 30 years, our relationship with Fort Bend Women’s Center has been at the heart of the PCCA’s mission to serve others,” Harbin said. “This award is a great honor for team members who provide time, talent and resources each year. The resilience and strength of the Women’s Center community inspires us every day. We are grateful for the opportunity to support our lives-changing work.”
