For the first time in modern recruiting rankings, Texas football is ranked No. 1 in the nation in the recruiting class for the 2025 cycle by the 247Sports Composite.
Late Friday morning (Dec. 6), the Texans received a major contribution to their defensive line in the 2025 class from Manchester (Ga.) elite five-star defensive tackle Justus Terry. The No. 2 defensive line recruit in the nation in the 2025 class according to the 247Sports Composite and On3 industry rankings helped lead the Longhorns over the Auburn Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide.
Head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns have finalized 25 commitments for the 2025 class as of the final day of the early signing period on Dec. 6. All 25 Texas commitments in this class were signed early, and many are expected to enroll early. I will be playing Spring Ball for the Longhorns.
Texas’ 2025 recruiting class ranks No. 1 in the nation by far this cycle, according to several of the online industry’s leading recruiting services. The Longhorns’ 2025 class is also ranked No. 1 in the nation by On3 Industry Rankings and Rivals Team Rankings.
This is the prediction for the next recruit to commit to the Longhorns after Terry on the final day of the early signing period on Dec. 6.
Texas quickly rises to list of top schools for highly touted Bellflower (Calif.) 2026 wide receiver, Bellflower (Calif.) four-star recruit Madden Williams on the trail this fall Ta. Williams is one of Chris Jackson and the Longhorns’ top out-of-state wide receiver targets in the 2026 class.
Williams included Texas among the top six finalists announced on social media on Dec. 3. Also included as finalists were the Arizona State Sun Devils, Ohio State Buckeyes, Oregon Ducks, Penn State Nittany Lions, and Texas A&M Aggies.
An unofficial visit to Texas appears to be planned for Williams in the near future, likely on Junior Day next spring or during spring practice in March or April.
