What would be your top priority if elected?
My top priority is funding public schools. Increase access to medical care such as abortion, in vitro fertilization, and contraception. Expansion of voting rights. protect the environment; and fighting for equality for all Texans. We also passed legislation to create jobs, support economic development and tourism, and expand economic opportunity in Williamson County.
What is the unique reason you are qualified for this position?
I am a consensus builder and a proven leader who effectively brings people together to solve the problems we face. I have consistently been one of the most progressive members of Congress, and I am firmly committed to the Texas House’s tradition of bipartisanship and thoughtful deliberation.
What do you think is the biggest challenge for your district and how do you plan to improve it?
Texas leaders are more concerned with partisan red meat and attacks on Texans than with the everyday issues that affect our lives. We will stop voucher fraud, fund schools, expand Medicaid, restore reproductive freedom, address housing and affordability, and improve infrastructure from water and transportation to broadband and parks. Must be.
What do you want people in your district to know about you?
I introduce and pass bills from voters each session. These include listing a crisis hotline and text line on the back of student IDs, allowing pharmacies to provide emergency insulin refills for 30 days, and providing assistance to medically vulnerable Texans during disasters. This includes creating a comprehensive register.
