An international clothing retailer is expanding to North Texas as part of its expansion plans across the United States.
On November 26, Dublin-based Primark announced plans to open a store in Grapevine Mills Mall. The company is focused on expansion in the South and Midwest. It also leases space at Castleton Square Mall in Indianapolis, Dolphin Mall in Miami, Gurnee Mills in Chicago, and Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit.
Opening dates for these stores have not been set, but some could open in 2025, a Primark representative said.
Another Primark store is scheduled to open on December 12 at La Plaza Mall in McAllen near the southern border, making it the company’s first store in the state. Other locations announced in Texas include Hurst, El Paso and two in the Houston area. Primark has a total of 29 stores in the United States, including New York City, Philadelphia, and Chicago.
Opened in October 1997, Grapevine Mills has become an entertainment and tourism destination, especially for families with children.
