SAN ANTONIO, Texas (KWTX) – A San Antonio teenager who was on Texas’ 10 Most Wanted list for allegedly killing a Sonic Drive-in manager in July 2024 has been arrested for crime. He was arrested in Dallas on October 22nd after an anonymous tip from Stoppers.
Adia Namil Roberson, 17, was wanted on charges of murder and forgery of government documents. She is also charged with evading arrest, trespassing and possession of marijuana, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
Thanks to an anonymous tip provided to Crime Stoppers, Roberson was located at an undisclosed apartment complex in southeast Dallas.
Roberson was believed to be the prime suspect in the July 7, 2024 murder of Daniel Shrewsberry, according to a San Antonio police report.
Officers responded to the 5500 block of Babcock Road after receiving multiple reports of shots fired.
According to a Fox 7 Austin article, Shrewsberry was shot when he tried to take a photo of Roberson’s license plate after hearing that Roberson had accepted money from one of the employees at the Sonic Drive-in. That’s what it means.
Roberson fled the San Antonio area after the incident and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. San Antonio police are asking anyone with information to help find a boy who is believed to have fled to Austin.
Roberson was located and arrested with the help of the following agencies: DPS Criminal Investigation Division (CID), San Antonio U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force, and Dallas County Sheriff’s Office. and the Grand Prairie Police Department.
A reward will be offered to individuals who provide information leading to Roberson’s arrest. The reward amount was not disclosed, but at the time of her capture, the reward for finding Roberson was valued at $5,000, according to Texas DPS.
