Austin, Texas – The 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders in Texas are the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Fugitives of Interest for September.
Robert Gonzalez, of Waco, is banned from McLennan County starting in September 2023 for failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
Gonzalez is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs approximately 195 pounds. He has tattoos on his neck, back and both arms. Gonzalez has ties to Dallas County as well as Waco.
The reward for information leading to an arrest will increase to $4,000 per month if a tip is made in September.
Texas Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest of one of Texas’ 10 most wanted fugitives, sex offenders or criminal illegal immigrants.
To receive the cash reward, tipsters must provide information to the agency using one of three methods:
Call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477)Submit a Web Tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about and clicking the link under their photo.Click on the “Submit a Tip” link (under the “About” section) to submit a Facebook tip.
All tips are anonymous regardless of how they are submitted, and tippers will be provided with a tip number instead of a name.
Why is Robert Gonzales wanted?
In 2011, Gonzalez was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon and subsequently sentenced to two years in prison.
Gonzalez was convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child in an incident with a 5-year-old girl and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
In 2022, Gonzalez was convicted of violating the sex offender registration requirement and possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to two years in prison on each charge, to be served concurrently.
Gonzalez has also been convicted multiple times of felonious assault in Ohio.
