Houston – Maria and Thomas Beavers have long wanted to see Shen Yun’s performing arts. This year, I got a chance at the CFISD Visual and Performing Arts Center on February 15th.
“I think it was a really interesting show,” said Mrs. Beavers, vice president of human resources. She praised the dancers for their unique and seamless blend of Chinese and classic Western instruments and music, as well as for their proficiency in technique and dedication.
Bieber also found the experience interesting and highlighted the positive commonality between all cultures while opening up a new world of cultures.
“I found it very appealing. It really opened my eyes to a completely different part of the culture that ended up in China,” he said.
“The dance was perfect so it was amazing. It was beautiful,” he said. “The opening story really took my attention, sacred. Just that resonates with all the other creation myths around the world.”
“Somewhere along the line, we all came from the same place,” he said.
Based in New York, Shen Yun is the world’s best classic Chinese dance company. Through music and dance, Shen Yun aims to revive five,000 years of Chinese civilization and share the beauty of China with viewers before communism.
Sajid Iqbal wanted to see Shen Yun accurately, as he was interested in the revival of this five Millenian civilization.
“The performance is extraordinary, and the good thing is that you brought thousands of years of civilization back to life. It’s so beautiful. I love it,” he said, adding that he performed with his wife Huma Sajid. Iqbal said when he saw it.
Mrs. Sajid also enjoyed her five,000 years of travel through her performance.
“In stages, the stories they show are filled with different energies. They are beautiful stories, so every minute we have connections with the stories, themes and music, so we really enjoy it. I will,” she said. “We’re really happy to be here.”
Iqbal wanted to praise the artists for what they accomplished.
“This culture is so beautiful, you’ve revived it, you’re showing this culture. It’s very, very, very, very, wonderful. You live the things the Communist Party tried to destroy. But what you’re working on is very good. We like it.”
