AUSTIN, Texas – Texas women’s soccer student-athletes Arianna Brothers, Carly Montgomery, Jilly Simkin and Holly Ward have all been named to the College Sports Communicators’ 2024 Division I Academic All-District Women’s Soccer Team. The organization made the announcement on Tuesday. This honor is a first for the brothers and Montgomery, with both Simkin and Ward selected for 2023-24.

Most recently, Ward became the first student-athlete in program history to score four goals in a single NCAA Tournament game, a feat the senior forward accomplished just four days ago against Boston College. Simkin was credited with assisting on one of Ward’s four goals, which moved the New York native to sole fifth place on the program’s career assist list.
Montgomery and Brothers are both sophomores who played key roles for the Longhorns during the program’s postseason success. Montgomery, a defender, scored the winning goal off a Lexi Missimo corner in the 80th minute of Texas’ 1-0 win over South Carolina, winning the 2024 SEC Soccer Tournament. Since Texas-Oklahoma on Oct. 10, Brothers has played at least 67 minutes in the midfield nine times, including at every position in the game in eight different games. There is. The Longhorns are 8-1 in nine games.
