NBCuniversal has long-standing popular Nickelodeon Show SpongeBob SquarePants with Paramount Global, a deal that focuses on kids and families, and is a theme park Universal destination and experience built in the Lone Star state. We reduced trading.
Universal has officially announced all of its IP-led land that will be built at a new resort that will open in Frisco next year. Most land is based on IP owned or connected to NBCuniversal, and spongegobs are outliers (and those with asterisks).
The land includes DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek, Boots In Boots, Trolls and Gabby’s Dollhouse. Nickelodeon SpongeBob Square. The world of lighting minions and Jurassic.
Of course, Gabby’s Dollhouse is a Netflix series, but it is produced by DreamWorks Television. Minions, Jurassic World, Shrek and Troll are all based at least in part on blockbuster franchises owned by the company.
“At Universal Kids Resort, kids have the opportunity to perform, sing, dance and discover with their favorite characters,” said Dan Cuffe, VP and GM of Universal Kids Resort. “Beyond the highly attractive attractions and shows, families find enough areas to rest in ample areas, enjoy themed food and drinks, and shop for fun character souvenirs. Each area brings out wonder in a lush, colorful environment.”
As for what visitors can expect at He Park, Universal says the bottom of the bikini will see SpongeBob characters interacting with visitors, like Squarepants’ own squid and native sand-cheeks of Texas. The world of Shrek includes swamp themed playgrounds. The minions take over a “vacation retreat” focused on water. Boots Pass oversees sections like carnivals. Trolls are located in a world focused on music festivals. The Jurassic World Region allows you to meet and greet dinosaurs. Gabby’s Dollhouse characters also exist in the central hub that connects all worlds.
“It’s an incredible opportunity for kids and families to bring these iconic stories back to life for them to experience, interact and play together,” said Sarah Gibbon, VP and Executive Producer of Univeral Creative. “At each point, we looked at how we could design a place specifically for children where children could explore, imagine and adventure with family and friends. They were curious. , you can do this all while completely immersed in some of their favorite stories full of laughs and joy.”
The company also confirmed that there are 300 room hotels that also serve as park entrances.
Universal unveiled Texas Park in 2023 as part of an ambitious expansion plan outside of California and Florida. It also launched a year-round “horror liberation” attraction in Las Vegas this year, with an attraction based on the Universal Monster, Exorcist: A Folklore, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
