The Texas Longhorns’ path to the SEC title game has certainly gotten closer, but it hasn’t been easy. They are back at the top of the charts, with the Aggies sitting in second place. Provided they continue to take care of business in each game, both top-level programs are set for a 14-week resumption of their rivalry, giving the winning team a chance at the conference title. In contrast, the fate of losers is always in a state of uncertainty.
“Texas and Texas A&M still have one-loss league records in the conference, but since they play each other, one team is guaranteed to advance and whoever loses, you lose. I’m going to be with Tennessee. ” The veteran analyst spelled out the foreseeable future for the loser of Texas vs. Texas A&M. But privately, he’s voting for the Longhorns and they believe he should be a positive energy heading into the expected clash.

“To me, Texas is more important than having to win that game…like if Texas loses the game against A&M and goes 10 and 2 without playing in the SEC Championship Game. I think he’s a strange guy,” Pollack explained what the loss to the Aggies meant for Sarkisian and his team.
Aggies coach Mike Elko has a lot to prove in his first year with the program. The entire Aggies team knows that once they lose, they won’t be in Atlanta. It’s so simple! So even as Mr. Pollack emphasizes Longhorn pressure, you can feel the heat building over a potential single-nation conflict. Meanwhile, there are some interesting anecdotes from the players’ side that could have implications for the high-voltage game on November 30th.

Entering the season, there was all sorts of noise surrounding Quinn Ewers. He has the potential to be a top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, but things haven’t gone as planned this season. It didn’t help that he was injured and was replaced by Arch Manning. The Longhorns QB2 made a new fan while on the road with Sarkisian’s team. Life hasn’t been smooth at the position since Ewers returned.
In the Week 12 win at Arkansas State, Ewers failed to meet his standards. He completed 20 of 32 passes for just 176 yards (5.5 YPA) and two touchdowns, marking a significant decline in the Longhorns’ offense. He’ll be a big draw in Texas A&M’s high-profile game, but maybe there’s another reason.
The Texas quarterback has an interesting relationship with Texas A&M punter Tyler White. On a recent call with the media, White reflected on his longtime friendship with the Longhorns sensation, dating back to their time together at Southlake Carroll.

White has a proven track record as one of the top punters among the conference leaders and could have a lot of say in the Longhorns’ possessions in the Nov. 30 matchup.
“I’m not going to go out and tackle him, but hopefully I can start him at the 1-yard line a few times,” White said, combining personal and professional instincts on the fly. Ta. It will be interesting to see how the power conference games go going forward.
