We praised the release of key legislative recommendations in a new report designed to enhance the Texas business environment.
Following the release of Governor Abbott’s Small Business Freedom Council report, President and CEO Glen Hammer and Texas Director Jeff Burdett, who will serve as co-chair of the Small Business Freedom Council, said:

The Governor’s Small Business Freedom Council, launched by Governor Abbott in December 2024, identified ways to reduce unnecessary government regulations that hinder the growth of small and medium-sized businesses and entrepreneurs in Texas.

An Freedom Council report released earlier this week provides data-driven recommendations based on inputs from state agencies and Texas small business owners. The Texas Legislature offers practical and practical solutions to eliminate obstacles to small and medium-sized businesses, strengthen the state’s economy, and ensure that only star nations are the national leaders of entrepreneurship and free enterprise.
