Floats, marching bands, decorated cars and even Santa himself paraded through downtown Temple on Dec. 2, marking the start of the holiday season.
TEMPLE, Texas — On Dec. 2, hundreds of people in the Central Texas community had the opportunity to step into the magic of the City of Temple’s annual Christmas Parade.
The family-friendly holiday event has been entertaining locals and visitors for nearly 80 years. Since its debut in 1946, this cherished tradition has brought communities together to celebrate the season with joy and unity.
Adams Avenue in downtown Temple was alive with the sights and sounds of the holiday season. For generations, Temple’s parade has been a highlight of the year, embodying the city’s festive spirit and togetherness.
The parade lit up the night with more than 100 unique illuminated floats and displays, transforming the streets into a vibrant wonderland. From whimsical designs to festive themes, each production is a masterpiece of creativity and captivates audiences of all ages.
Local businesses, community organizations, school groups and more participate in the event, and no Christmas parade is complete without this great man. Santa Claus made a grand appearance, spreading the Christmas spirit and delighting both children and adults.
