‘Flash’ becomes the first player to reach 100 sacks in his career before turning 29 years old, and the 45th player in NFL history to reach triple-digit sacks.
Garrett has been the true leader of the Cleveland defense since the Aggie edge rusher was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Since then, Garrett has recorded double-digit sacks in every season starting in 2018, and recorded a career-high 16.0 sacks in 2021 and 2022. In 2023, Garrett recorded 14.0 sacks and was named the AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year for his performance. 4 fumbles. And in 2024, the Browns superstar picked up where he left off with 38 total tackles, 11.0 sacks (currently 12) and three forced fumbles.
Garrett joins fellow Aggie defenseman Von Miller on the 100-sack club, who is currently the NFL’s active leader with 127.5 sacks.
It’s no secret that Garrett is the face of the Cleveland Browns franchise, and it was only a matter of time before he reached this impressive milestone.
The real question is how many he’ll have if he decides to hang up his cleats for good.
