McAllen, Texas – The Texas A&M University Higher Education Center in McAllen is hosting a new open house event.
The university invites local residents, including high school students and transfer students, to its Fall Open House, which will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Manny Vela, vice president and chief operating officer for the Center for Higher Education at Texas A&M University McAllen, said the event will provide participants with the opportunity to:
Explore undergraduate programs Tour state-of-the-art facilities Meet world-class faculty Discover student services Network with academic advisors Get admission information from Rio Grande Valley’s Prospective Student Center
“Our center offers a very unique Aggie experience for local students, who have the opportunity to attend Texas A&M University, live with or near their families, follow the same core values and traditions, and ultimately graduate with the same Aggie ring as students from College Station,” Vela said.
“The open house is a great opportunity to learn about our programs, connect with the campus community and get a glimpse of what Aggieland in South Texas is like.”
