Texas and ASU running backs team up for postgame prayer

What do Arizona State’s Cam Scatterbo and the Texas Longhorns’ Nick Sanders have in common? In addition to being running backs for their respective teams, the two young men also share the same beliefs .
They showed that belief after the Longhorns defeated the Sun Devils in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals in Atlanta last week.
“It was an incredibly hard-fought game by both teams, winning 39-31 in overtime, but the reality of sports is that when two talented teams line up, there can only be one winner. State University running back Nick Sanders asked Arizona State superstar running back Kam Scattebo to join him in prayer, allowing some players to keep football in mind after the game. We did it,” Yellow Hammer News reported.
As the two running backs shook hands, Sanders asked Skatebo if he could pray for him.
The video shows both players kneeling in prayer before hugging at the end.

Skatebo pushed hard for his team and battled a loss of body fluids, resulting in him “vomiting profusely” on the bench. However, he re-entered the game, sending it into overtime.
“He had 30 carries for 143 yards and two touchdowns, a 42-yard passing touchdown for one touchdown, and eight receptions for 99 receiving yards,” said Sidney Henderson of USA Today. ” ended the night, reported Sidney Henderson of USA Today.
“That’s how it all started,” Skatebo said. “The first half was tough and I didn’t feel very good. The second half was a different ball game.”
“We gave everything we had,” he added. “We never stopped. This is just the beginning for us. No matter what, they will be in my life forever. For them and with them. It was great to be able to play soccer.”
