Wildfires are nothing new to the South Texans. With rising temperatures and ongoing dryness, Texas is facing an increased risk of wildfires.
The wind was expected to be strong and dry on Saturday, creating potential fire hazards.
As of 9pm on Saturday, Texas A&M Forest Services is reporting nine active wildfires ranging from the Texas Panhandle to southern Texas.
According to the Texas A&M Forest Service, the following list includes an active fire on March 15th at 9pm.

The bad news is that the winds will continue next week in South Texas. We receive more water, but there are still multiple days with the potential for a fire.
Always remember that even if no active wildfires have been reported, there is still a chance that a fire will occur.
