There are many important days on the daily calendar. Of course, the holiday season means Christmas is approaching, soon followed by the New Year. As the new year begins, everyone’s favorite baseball season approaches.
There’s a lot to look forward to as the Texas Longhorns’ 2025 season approaches. First and foremost, a brand new coaching staff led by Jim Schlossnagle has injected new energy into the fan base. Couple this with a combination of returning talent and elite recruits, and Austin is full of hope.
There are still two months until the campaign officially begins, but Texas was finally given its 2025 schedule on Tuesday. And folks, there’s a lot to look forward to as to who the Longhorns will play.
They will once again start the season at MLB Stadium, heading to the Shriners Children’s College Showdown at Globe Life Field in Arlington, and will host Louisville, Oklahoma State and Ole Miss from February 14-16. to play against.
They then returned home for a midweek game against Houston on February 18th, a weekend series against Dartmouth from February 21-23rd, and another midweek game against UIW on February 25th. Participate. Then he gets back on the road and heads to Las Vegas. Classic (February 28-March 2) Includes games against Washington, Texas Tech, and Illinois.
Of course, the real excitement for next season is Texas’ first experience playing a full conference matchup in the SEC.
Highlights of the conference opener include the road opener against Mississippi State on March 14-16, the highly anticipated home series against rival Texas A&M on April 25-27, and the highly anticipated home series against rival Texas A&M on May 1-3. Includes an expedition to Arkansas.
After all, there would be a lot to like about this Texas team on paper entering the season. But games aren’t played on paper, and the Longhorns must prepare for a tough jump in competition in 2025.
