This week, Texas health officials reported that the total number of identified measles cases has reached 505 since it began in January, with several counties identified as active outbreak locations.

What are the symptoms of measles?
According to Boston Children’s Hospital, symptoms of measles include:
Hacking cough suppressants and eye red and stimulation. Fever.small red spots with white centers appearing on the inside of the cheeks – these usually occur two days before the skin rash appears. This rash usually starts as a small, distinct lesion, which binds as one large rash.
According to the hospital, it takes 8-12 days for a child to develop measles symptoms, but it can be 1-2 days before the onset of symptoms and 3-5 days after the rash develops.
How do you sign up for measles?
Mayo Clinic says healthy people can take the virus whenever an infected person coughs, sneezes, speaks, and infectious drops are blown into the air and others can breathe in.
Infected droplets can also survive on surfaces for several hours, and healthy people may touch the infected surface before placing their fingers on their mouths or noses or rubbing their eyes.
“Around 90% of people who don’t have measles or have not been vaccinated from measles will become infected when exposed to people with the measles virus,” the clinic reports.
