Texas taxpayers should not be forced to subsidize abortion providers. I am sure you will agree with this, so please consider it.
Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas – After learning that the Texas Medical Board has a Planned Parenthood employee as its medical director, Congressman Brian Harrison today sent an attached letter to Governor Abbott asking for the employee’s removal. and asked for instructions to all state agencies. To ensure that there are no other family planning system employees employed by state agencies, including in advisory roles.

Letter from Congressman Brian Harrison below:
Governor Abbott:
Prior to being elected to the Texas House of Representatives, I served as Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) during President Trump’s first administration. I am proud to have led the development of HHS’s successful effort to defund family planning programs at the federal level. We also know that Texas voters overwhelmingly support these efforts and oppose tax-funding abortion.
I was shocked to read in court documents filed by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) that the organization appears to have a Planned Parenthood employee in the powerful position of medical director.
It is indefensible that pro-life states like Texas have abortionists regulating medical practice.
Thanks to the laws Congress passed and you signed, abortion is illegal in this state, is not considered medical care, and, in fact, abortion providers can face criminal charges.
This fox must be removed from the care of the chicken coop.
We respectfully request that your firm work with TMB to immediately remove this individual due to the serious and inherent conflict of interest.
Additionally, Texas should be leading the fight against Planned Parenthood, not employing Planned Parenthood. We also ask that you direct all state agencies to ensure that family planning system employees are not employed by other state agencies, including in advisory roles.
Texas taxpayers should not be forced to subsidize abortion providers. I am sure you will agree with this, so please consider it.
for freedom,
