GLASGOW, Ky. – Four Houston, Texas men are facing forgery and organized crime charges in Barren County.
On Friday, Glasgow Police were dispatched to Shane Drive after a report of an individual attempting to cash a fraudulent cheque at a Glasgow business.
Upon arrival, the suspect fled from officers on foot. Officers discovered fake identification, fraudulent checks and a large amount of cash.
Glasgow Police were able to arrest the three men after a short foot pursuit.
Jason Barahona of Houston, Texas, was arrested and charged with first degree forgery, first degree possession of a forged document, presenting or possessing a revoked or fictitious driver’s license, engaging in organized crime, and first degree fleeing or eluding police (on foot).
Joel Alexander Barahona of Houston, Texas, was arrested and charged with first-degree forgery, first-degree possession of a forged document, first-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), engaging in organized crime, and displaying or possessing a revoked or fictitious driver’s license.
Davila Wilbes Fernando of Houston, Texas, was arrested and charged with first-degree forgery, first-degree possession of a forged document, first-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), engaging in organized crime, and displaying or possessing a revoked or fictitious driver’s license.
All three are being held in the Barren County Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing.
